Correct me if I'm wrong but i think this is the last DP related album which have entered Billboard top 10.
Yeah probably was, I can't think of anything that's done that since...

Re: Coverdale / Page
And a damn good album it is. Page's last really good thing for me.

Re: Coverdale / Page
Yeah. Page's best work since Zepp - not that the competition for that title is very fierce. I really understand why this disc did not do better; I guess by that point in the US, we were in full grunge mode and hair metal (represented by Coverdale) was being roundly mocked, and this was seen as part of it?
I sure do recall being delighted by hearing "Pride and JOy" blasting on the radio - a great single! Shame you never hear it on the air anymore....

A longer tour was planned, but due to poor ticket sales in the US they only did 7 shows in Japan in December 1993. Maybe one of the best documented tours, cause all the shows are available as audio boots and 5 of them are available as DVD.
Today DC posted a photo of himself and Page on Twitter and I asked the following: "@davidcoverdale None of the Japanese concerts were properly recorded for posterity?"
He replied: "Recorded & filmed..."

Re: Coverdale / Page
Strange! Even before I saw this subjet, I thought the re-issue or something concernig C/P is coming up in the near future. David is sharing very often pictures of him and Page on his twitter lately.

This is news to me. Would make an awesome release together with a remixed album featuring the unreleased studio tracks. A great record.

Re: Coverdale / Page
That shocks me that they recorded and filmed those concerts. I WOULDN'T be shocked if DC was putting together a special edition. He's been talking about it for several years now. That would be a sight to see ... apparently he has video of he and Page working on demos at his house and there's about ... what, four or five tracks that didn't make the album that they recorded, or at least partially recorded. Those include: Good Love, Bad Love ... Saccharin ... and Southern Comfort all of which I think Coverdale used to stream on his old North C radio thing

Re: Coverdale / Page
What a great release that would make!
Remastered album+unreleased tracks along with a dvd/blu-ray of one of the Japanese shows with the studio footage as a bonus!

Re:
I have to check the DVDs of the seven shows if there were cameras on stage or at least visible (except of the one from a crew member who filmed shows and sound checks from behind the band)...
