Company Of Snakes Ride, Ride, Ride
I was listening to Ride, Ride, Ride today and my Mum came into my room and asked who it was on my stereo and I told her COS and she said "this is a cover, who did the original". I wasn't aware that it was a cover and the booklet claims Moody and Marsden wrote it with someone called Andes, but she seemed to know the words to it.
Is the song a cover or an original?

Re: Company Of Snakes Ride, Ride, Ride
The only "Andes" that I'm aware of in the music biz is Mark Andes (ex Heart/Spirit/Jo Jo Gunne). Jo Jo Gunne had a hit record called Run Run Run. Is this it, with a change to the lyrics? Not sure - never heard the Jo Jo Gunne song, to my knowledge..

Re: Company Of Snakes Ride, Ride, Ride
I've got the Jo Jo Gunne 45. Very commercial, loads of slide guitar, it went Top 10:
"You'd better ride home baby I was born outside of the law..... Ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Run, run, run."
Didn't CoS credit the track as Ride, Ride, Ride (Run, Run, Run)?

Re: Company Of Snakes Ride, Ride, Ride
[ Album Credits ] Lyrics provided by Lonesome Dave Peverett [ Album History ]
Ride, Ride, Ride
(4:25)
Rod Price / Dave Peverett - Knee Trembler Music - ASCAP
I believed, this time it wouldn't be too long,
Guaranteed, but now I see that I was wrong,
Seems like our love is fading, I know the reason why,
We can't talk about it, I'm too far away to try,
And I see the train arrive - And I see the train arrive.
Every night, I laughed at all the bad advice,
They were right, and I'm the one who paid the price,
We gotta get together and conquer all the hate,
Time is runnin' out, it might even be too late,
And I see the train arrive - And I see the train arrive.
Ride, ride, ride, ride - Ride, ride, ride, ride.
So many roads to travel, So many trains to ride
So many trains to ride, Ain't no need for you to worry
Ain't no need for you to worry, Love is on my side
Don't break down, love is on our side
Ride, ride, ride, ride - Ride, ride, ride, ride.
And I see the train arrive
{Rod - Solo}
Here I am, a bunch of tickets in my hand,
Uncle Sam, Afraid I gotta leave your land,
I'm lookin' to the future, the past is dead and gone,
No peace for the wicked and time keeps me movin' on.
And I see the train arrive - And I see the train arrive.
Ride, ride, ride, ride - Ride, ride, ride, ride.
See the train arrive
And I see the train arrive -
And I see the train arrive -
And I see the train arrive - See the train arrive
And I see the train arrive - See the train arrive
I see the train arrive - See the train arrive
I see the train arrive - See the train arrive
I see the train - See the train arrive
I see the train - See the train arrive
Got this off the FOGHAT site. I doubt it's relavent but I figured I'd post it anyway.
Sounds like it could be some lyrics Coverdale would sing.
