Snakebite
Trouble
Lovehunter
Ready An' Willing
Live...In The Heart Of The City
Come An' Get It
Saints&Sinners
Slide It In
-----------------
If you like the early work then these are the ones,or "The Early Years" which is kind of a greatest hits package in remaster quality.
Or:
1987 / Serpens Albus
Slip Of The Tongue
Restless Heart
DC - Into The Light
and there's Coverdale Page.
I recommend the early ones to start with.

It depends which tracks you like off the Silver Collection? If you like the Give Me All Your Love, Still Of The Night type stuff go for 1987, but if you prefere the Lovehunter, Ain't No Love then go for maybe Ready An' Willing or Sain't And Sinners.

I got the best of before I really knew much about them and it wasn't long before I got every Snake and Coverdale record!

My advice is work out which tracks are your real favourites and buy the albums they feature on!

My advice is to stay clear of anything recorded after 1984,then when you have gotten your fill of the real deal
(if you ever do)
go out and waste some money on the post '84
material and have yourself a barrell of laughs... emoticon

Each to his own I suppose, I find 1987, SOTT and Restless Heart as fine additions to the Coverdale/Whitesnake story, if you think otherwise then you're probably posting under the wrong section of this forum...

Absolute bollocks!!!!!!
I have been around since the first Whitesnake album was released Christos.
I speak not of anything since SOTT,I actually enjoy Restless Heart and
Into The Light.
Just because I don't care for hair metal poser AOR music doesn't mean I don't belong in this section. emoticon
I suggest you try and listen without so much care about the rockstar image, this is for women. emoticon

Being around since the first WS album means diddly squat to me I'm afraid so don't try to impress me with that.

Speaking for myself at least, there's plenty of quality music & performances to enjoy on 1987 & SOTT if you look past the image (which was of its time of course, very much like every band's image is, if you think Purple's 70s pics look cool to anyone outside this board then think again, most people will find them immensely more funny than Coverdale circa 1987).

I find it sad when people start slagging artists & albums constantly and without reason when a)they're not fans of the artist in question and b)when their purpose is to clearly ruin the discussion about an issue by trolling around all the time.

Look at the JLT section of the forum for a better example. I don't like Bolin's work either (Purple and outside of them) and find him very overrated but you won't catch me calling his albums a barrel of laughs in the relevant forum.

You certainly need to purchase youself a sense of humor Christos,I don't think you understand,
you need to define trolling properly, because you have it wrong.
I'll give you credit for not letting anyone get to you about what a poser singers like JLT and image oriented singers can be.
This happens to be a forum where people speak their minds as they wish.
If you think it ruins a discussion to throw some truth into it,thats fine, you are a little too sensitive though, attacking you would be something to get worked up over, when someone gives their opinion of
cheesy artists that you may like, they are most likely not even thinking of what bothers you or anyone else.
You won't catch me disturbing the ghost of Tommy Bolin either, slagging Coverdale for most of his work,or even taking the JLT issue as far as most here do,I happen to like a fair amount of his work because of other artists he works with.(tolerance)
Deep Purple are and always have been a
"real rock band" that doesn't rely on image and gimmicks, this is where the honesty prevails,if their manager and record company
told them to wear womens clothes they would simply refuse them.(or replace them)
As an artist it's important to have foresight in order to know whats good for you.
Not trying to impress you by having been around long enough to know where things went
cheesy for Whitesnake in order to make a killing and have all the girls drooling whilst making a mockery of theirselves, just giving the guy some fair advice, which means I wasn't writing to you, usually you let it go,even when someone is,you must be having a bad day in order to make this about you.
