posticon DIFFERENT SETS FOR DIFFERENT COUNTRIES...

On his website DC says that the purpose of the new live album will be to stop having two different sets in the US and the rest of the world. Some news for you David: when 1987 did well in America so did all your back catalogue...the Geffen sales figures for Ready An Wiling etc are very good for 87/89. So, the idea of having to do different songs is a figment of your own making. And anyway, the set differences generally amount to Walking in the Shadow and Ain't no love...so big deal.
PS: When Rady An Willing was originally released back in 1980 in the US it also got into the Billboard 100.

It seems you have a bit of a grudge against ol' Cov... It's alright I can understand it myself, he's made plenty of crucial mistakes in his career and disappointed many hardcore fans but then again who hasn't... I was slightly miffed when I saw the UK setlist (and the names of the band he was performing with) as I was expecting more oldies too but the show I went to featured David in SCORCHING form so I'm not going to start complaining because he played Slide It In instead of, say, Ready N' Willing or whatever... I'm just glad he's back on the scene, happy for what he's doing and putting in some damn good performances. Life's too short to worry about stuff like that and I'll be there again should he decide to visit these shores again in 2004.

No grudge...I just like honesty and hate prevarication. In essence the set does not bother me...just the contradictions that keep eminating from the man himself. Just make music and be honest about why you're doing it.
