 Whats the point in another tour...??
Am I being stupid, or just missing something here. What is the point in Coverdale undertaking another tour with the same faceless musos as the last time, with no new product, no new anything. On the one hand he says he isn't interested in nostalgia (the reason he won't work with old band mates) yet all he's gonna do is go out and play Burn, Mistreated again etc etc. If that isn't nostalgia...er, what is? Also...when are Whitesnake fans gonna get any kind of product they can be proud of...did anyone see the last tour programme or the packaging used on the Best Of releases. Uuurgh.

I thought the last tour programme rocked big-time, don't know why you didn't like it, well worth a tenner IMO... As for the Best Of packages it isn't David putting them out but EMI (look at how many of those Purple has, nuff said!). I have to say that at this point of Purple's and Coverdale's respective careers I am more interested in seeing the latter live and god forbid he decides to pack it now...

The tour programme was awfully designed...but with some nice pics! The typography was the product of either A) a PC Microsoft Publisher user or B) Saddam Husseins beard trimmer. reference the CD packaging...DC had a hand in these I believe. Apart from being just plain wrong in places they were also crap...stylistically. Ah well.
I don't think DC should give up touring but he should do one of two things:
A) get some proper WS players together to perform the back catalogue (this could includse Marsden, Moody and even John Sykes) or B) use a new band for new material with just the odd previous WS tune in the set. Go forward or look back but don't !@#$ around by saying "I'm not into the nostalgia thing".

Ditto. While I'm all for criticism, let the man do what he thinks is best, the ones that like it will be there while there are plenty of other bands to follow for the ones that don't...

People just can't appreciate what they got till it's gone, sad but true. Long may David continue to give great stage performances, be it with Whitesnake 1987 style material or whatever.
