Whitesnake - The Early Years
http://www.deep-purple.net/othernews/othernews.htm
Whitesnake / The Early Years (EMI 7243 592019 2 4) is out on Feb 24th 2004, a single CD, part of the EMI programme of early collections of many of their major catalogue artists. The 18 tracks span the years 1978 - 1984, and only four duplicate the recent anniversary sets. Coverdale chose the tracks and wrote the sleeve notes. There are no rarities on it.

Re: Whitesnake - The Early Years
Seems like it should be a pretty good thing for anyone who doesn't have those early albums and would like to hear what all the fuss from us fans of that era is about!

Re: Whitesnake - The Early Years
The Whitesnake collection thing with EMI is getting a bit out of hand, nothing for years and now this. Surely it'd be better to remaster the old albums than go for the quick buck (and sadly David seems to be endorsing this behaviour too). I suppose at least it brings something new with the name of the band to the racks...
