Wow, I didn't know that, whenever I watched that I just assumed that he was moved by the occasion... Still, it is great to know his daughter is alive and well in 2003 and also about to make ol' Cov a grandfather sometime in the next few months!

Re: Whitesnake live
By the way's there's also another long-deleted official VHS release called Trilogy with four 1987 video clips. On the DVD front David is sadly denying any chances of putting something out from the 2003 tour so we'll just have to do with the semi-legal Brazilian DVD of Starkers (which is effing excellent by the way).

I didn´t notice either because the camera rarly shows his face and normally such things are part of the show. Usually he´s always close to tears on Mistreated for instance.

He cracks up big-time in Ain't No Love, you can tell he's about to cry, think it's after the sing-along bit, it's been yonks since I last watched it so I could be wrong.

I've been an eBay demon lately, picking up old VHS shows that people have put on DVD and other bootleg stuff. I've seen a show from the 2003 tour listed on DVD. I haven't checked into whether these were pro or aud shot.
It will be nice to get some of the stuff from the mid-80's on DVD. Super Rock '84 is one I just bought.
And I agree....the Starkers show is great. It was nice to have the music just focus on David's voice without all the extra trappings that make up a Whitesnake show.

Re: Whitesnake live
As a not so big fan of Whitesnake I am ready for the Donnington gig after all these years,I remember reading outstanding reviews of the concert way back in the day.
I'm also going to have to pick up Starkers because of the rave I hear about this one.
Time to add some footage to the vinyl collection that is complete and rather nice,
a Whitesnake fan might even be jelous of all the wonderful and colorful vinyl of the Snake records I accumulated over the years out of my tendancy to be a Purple completist.

Re: Whitesnake live
Don´t forget Starkers In Tokyo DVD feat. DC and Adrian Vandenberg in nicely introvert miniunplugged for just 50 or so close friends and guests in Tokyo 1997. Fantastic!
