The Better Show?

For those who have been following the current summer tours of the bands, who is putting on a better show M3 or Coverdale's Whitesnake?

np: Iron Maiden - Face In The Sand

Having not seen or heard either one this tour, it's definitely Whitesnake! That's a fact!

I have seen Whitesnake and David Coverdale´s backing band didn´t impress me much(Doug Aldrich is a bit too much..er can´t explain it). And while the music was better on M3(which I missed) for sure I can´t imagine someone pulling off a better stage show than Coverdale. He could have been alone and it had been great!

My sentiments exactly. I saw Aldrich with Dio and he's very 80's flash metal rather than substance. But with DC singing you can't go wrong. Besides, watching 3 guitarists of the same flash shredding will get boring after a bit.

When I saw Aldrich with Dio
he was mixed down way too low but I could
see his finger's all over the place
he was a BIT TOO FLASHY FOR ME.
But the thing that was really funny was
how the poser keyboard player just stood there
like a zombie the whole show swiping his keyboard
here and there almost as if he wasn't even patched in.

Ronnie was awesome as usual though
I wish I could have been backstage
that night with Satch/Dio /scorp's
that would have been the icing on the cake.

I didn't even notice the keyboard player. I had special VIP passes for the DP, Dio and Scorps show but just hung by the bar between sets. No one came from miles around and said "man..whos he"

I saw DC in Munich and M3 in Heidenheim. M3 are much, much better. I had doubts about Tony Martin handling the songs, but he fits in very nicely. Only his new image is out of place. Coverdale's hired hands have absolutely no feel for the blues, but handle the pussy era material pretty well.

What didn´t you like about the munich show? I think it was fantastic. Ain´t No Love In The Heart Of The City was brilliant IMO. I had the luck of beeing up front, it was fantastic!

Have only seen Company Of Snakes (shortly after they released their live album) and comparing them with Whitesnake this year is ludicrous, one's the real article and the other a good tribute band. Coverdale's boys might have been faceless 80s metal merchants (bar Aldridge perhaps) but put him onstage and you got Whitesnake. Simple as that.

I didn't see any WS this year but having seen M3 at Robin2,as many people on here know, its was the best gig I've seen for many a year and I cannot beleive that DC and his mercenaries could be half as good.
Looking forward to seeing M3 again next month, Ritchie before them and I can compare who gives the best concert between these two.
