He may be a good performer but I think he is more suited for a mostly female audience,he doesn't seem to be doing it for the guy's.Rahul may think he's great but I like Hughes better and I'm not even all that crazy about Hughes. His frontman approach is too female aimed for my taste, but that doesn't mean that I think he has nothing to offer, just nothing much for me. If I were a female I would be a better judge of him I suppose.   nondisclosed_email@example.com (FatLarryandhiscar)Sun, 09 Nov 2003 07:40:55 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52457,from=rss#post52457https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52457,from=rss#post52457quote:SlipOfTheTongue wrote: ...a lot of people thought that after Vandemberg Vai nothing could be better but those guys are really unbelivable, the best WS live line up of all times! 2003 I thought that after Vandenberg and Vai anything could be better! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Big J)Sun, 09 Nov 2003 07:02:36 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52456,from=rss#post52456https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52456,from=rss#post52456...a lot of people thought that after Vandemberg Vai nothing could be better but those guys are really unbelivable, the best WS live line up of all times! 2003 nondisclosed_email@example.com (SlipOfTheTongue)Sat, 08 Nov 2003 11:53:08 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52455,from=rss#post52455https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52455,from=rss#post52455Hey Brian you couldn't see the keyboard player cause along with what I wrote the guy was standing way back at the side of the stage. Big fat sloppy Jimmy VainBain was in his way most of the time. The guy was definetly a prop if I ever saw one, and he was 100% inaudible but Ronaldo was in fine form. Better than whae I last saw him on the Magica tour. That show was one of the worst concert's I've seen in my life, but it wasn't Ronnies fault one bit.I'll elaborate later on that show and the Jimmy VainBain comment,I have good reason for such a remark. My hand's are hurting from clapping at the woobedas thing and so is my jaw from laughing.(serious comedic genius) nondisclosed_email@example.com (FatLarryandhiscar)Sat, 01 Nov 2003 11:29:41 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52454,from=rss#post52454https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52454,from=rss#post52454DC is the best frontman I have ever seen. Period. I couldn't imagine M3 doing that better. And his vocals were brilliant. Where M3 will probably outdo the Snake is with the quality of the backing band. Coverdale's lot were rather generic this year, save for the extraordinary and totally fabulous Tommy Aldridge! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rahul)Sun, 26 Oct 2003 14:27:18 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52453,from=rss#post52453https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52453,from=rss#post52453I didn't see any WS this year but having seen M3 at Robin2,as many people on here know, its was the best gig I've seen for many a year and I cannot beleive that DC and his mercenaries could be half as good. Looking forward to seeing M3 again next month, Ritchie before them and I can compare who gives the best concert between these two. Coverdale's boys might have been faceless 80s metal merchants (bar Aldridge perhaps) but put him onstage and you got Whitesnake. Simple as that.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Christos Gatzidis)Thu, 23 Oct 2003 16:52:04 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52451,from=rss#post52451https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52451,from=rss#post52451What didn´t you like about the munich show? M3 are much, much better. I had doubts about Tony Martin handling the songs, but he fits in very nicely. Only his new image is out of place. Coverdale's hired hands have absolutely no feel for the blues, but handle the pussy era material pretty well. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Nicky)Thu, 23 Oct 2003 10:43:40 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52449,from=rss#post52449https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52449,from=rss#post52449quote:FatLarryandhiscar wrote: When I saw Aldrich with Dio he was mixed down way too low but I could see his finger's all over the place he was a BIT TOO FLASHY FOR ME. Ronnie was awesome as usual though I wish I could have been backstage that night with Satch/Dio /scorp's that would have been the icing on the cake. I didn't even notice the keyboard player. I had special VIP passes for the DP, Dio and Scorps show but just hung by the bar between sets. My sentiments exactly. I saw Aldrich with Dio and he's very 80's flash metal rather than substance. But with DC singing you can't go wrong. Besides, watching 3 guitarists of the same flash shredding will get boring after a bit.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ritchies Strat)Wed, 22 Oct 2003 17:37:48 +0000 Re: The Better Show?https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52446,from=rss#post52446https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p52446,from=rss#post52446I have seen Whitesnake and David Coverdale´s backing band didn´t impress me much(Doug Aldrich is a bit too much..er can´t explain it).
