Hidden songs?
When I listened to Come on the other day I discovered one thing that's strange in the second verse, that goes something like this:
"I'm just a solider of forune,
Must be the gypsy in me.
I am in love and I say
I never needed love so badly before"
If you look carefully you'll find two Stormbringer tunes here, Solider of Fortune and The Gypsy, and almost one from CTTB, I need love. Did Coverdale do this on purpose or is it just a coincidente?
--- "GET ON NOW!!!!" - Ian Gillan on atleast 95% of the MkII concerts

Re: Hidden songs?
His critics would say it's because he's not the most inventive songwriter ever, but I'd say it's just that he sticks to what he knows best!

Re: Hidden songs?
Pretty sure that's deliberate. Just a quick wink in the direction of Deep Purple.

"A Hard Lovin´Woman like you just makes a Hard Lovin´Man"
Looking back in the past and into the future at the same time, eh?

Re: Hidden songs?
Offtopic: Hey Milan, was it definitely the Wolves gig you wanted, then?

Re: Hidden songs?
I guess you´re asking me while it´s long packaged and you wrote me this with one hand while the other one was reaching out for the mailbox with the finished package in hand!
But yes, I´m really interested in a boot called Walverhampton recorded in a town called Wolverhampton!

Re: Hidden songs?
Nah, it's just David pulling a Gillan and referencing some of his older songs.

Re: Hidden songs?
Yea and what about the HLW-HLM thing?
I will not slag David but I will say that after
Slide It In I gave up.
Don't get me wrong I have heard all the stuff since
seen him in concert including Coverdale Paige,
and I have also met him a couple of times
both times he was a gentleman to me but
one time he was not so friendly to a few of
the innocent fine looking girl's that were backstage.
I don't know what the hell was the matter with him
but it almost appeared that he was on something or !@#$ drunk, one of the two.
