After the 2003 tour ends...

Anyone know what Coverdale's plans are?

If it came to the choice of a new Whitesnake album with the current line-up, or a new Coverdale album (similar feel to Into The Light), what would you choose?

Personally I'd take a follow up of Into the Light. Excellent album.

Definitely a new Coverdale album, I don't care much for this version on Whitesnake.

A live CD? Yes, entitled "Live...In The Still Of The Night".

A DVD? No, "the people wanted too much for too little". Expect more touring next year to promote the live album. New material seems very unlikely at the moment, DC appears to have had his lot with the music industry.

Yes, he's very disenhanted with the money grubbing music industry making a new release very difficult.

I personally would love to see any sort of new material from David so long as his supporting cast are top notch musicians with some history and not just a bunch of no name hired guns. Sadly though, top notch players cost money which might make that less likely.

Oh the band he had with him was great - I did not miss anyone may be Colin Hodgkinson but he played only a short time with whitesnakle and cardenal mendoza was just great. So his band was okay not time to blame the guys!! dd

I will go see Hairsnake if he tours again...Rahul's review convinced me that David is a dying breed, and seeing him is worth it.

New Whitesnake album for me. He's tried the solo route and while the results were good enough (Into The Light was a great record) I think the only way to raise awareness surrounding his name is by using the band moniker. I wouldn't keep the current band though. Get Sykes and Vandenberg back in (I'd say Moody and Mardsen but that is as likely as Blackers going back to Purple...) and go for an out n' out 1987-style metal album. If that doesn't shift some copies then I don't know what will. It might not set the world on fire like it did all those years ago but I feel David needs some commercial success, even a minor underground one, to keep him in the game, even if it is only for his ego...
