Progress with the New Album: direct from the Ironing Board!
There are moments when.....
Well, there are just moments.
What can I or anyone else say?
From Interview with Ian Gillan in Scene Magazine:
quote: "I like ironing because it's one of the most therapeutic and no-brainer things you can do when you're trying to write lyrics. I'm listening to some backing tracks that the guys have put down and just trying to collect some ideas and phrasing."

Huh, legend heard hundreds of times before. I wonder why the heck they didn't write any studio reports while making the album??? There always used to be something during recording the last three CDs, so what went wrong this time?

Hope they give the album a decent title this time, 'Bananas' was an embarrassment.

i think Bananas is the best title ever.
i'm in a creative 'job' and ironing makes loads of sense. i get my best ideas when i'm cooking. REALLY. its about shuting your mind down so you can hear yourself. if that makes sense , it works for me anyway.

I thought Bananas was horrible when I first heard the title but now think it's great.

Re: Progress with the New Album: direct from the Ironing Board!
In the end the title Bananas did just what it should. It created a lot of talk about the album's title. What other Purple album title cause so much stir among the fans?

Agree! When I first heard the album title I thought, that it was a bad idea, because nobody could take it seriously. But now I think it had some good effect. Everybody could remember the title and there was some discussion around about it. Not bad...
