I would love to hear some Uriah Heep if it fits the kind of music you are playing.
Keep up the good work!

Re: Deep Purple and Beyond on LIVE 365

I must admit that my CD collection is short on some of the recent requests, most of my solo Gillan/Glenn Hughes stuff goes back to lp Vinyl, purchasing everything again to cd is expensive. Most of my personal collection does involve all the DP,Rainbow and Whitesnake,Dio,Black sabbath (with DP lead vocals eras).
I'm open to recieving mp3's thru e mail from you fans!
If you have a favorite DP related song on cd and want to send it to me I'll get it online for you!
my e mail is [email protected]
I do want to stay within legal limits and conduct DP and Beyond in a legit way.
I'm not wanting or asking for entire cd collections, just send me 1 or 2 favorites.
Thanks so much for your input,I have added some more tracks today, cut back on the DIO stuff, added more DP from the Morse Era and added more Coverdale stuff.
I'm digging about on getting Gillan stuff added next!

Ted? does DP and Uriah Heep have a band members history?Anyone crossing over that is? it would be news to me!

Well - the closest connection between UH and DP is Bob Daisley, who played on Aboming & Head First albums, and who previously was a member of Rainbow (and recently played with Jon Lord)
Another connection that came to my mind - Ian Paice playing on Ken Hensley's "Free Spirit" album.
And the connection that never happened, but it could - after DP's demise in 76, David Coverdale was approached by UH, had some rehearsals with them, but something was not working, and they decided for John Lawton...
...Who, in turn, sang on Roger's Butterfly Ball album ("Little Chalk Blue" song)...
...and was replaced by John Sloman, who afterwards sang with Gary Moore (with Ian Paice and/or Don Airey involved, I suppose)...
...and Sloman, in turn was replaced by Pete Goalby, who sang for a short time in Trapeze and was quite near to become the RJD replacement in Rainbow back in 1978 (actually he was the member for some 3 months, but apparently could not stand Ritchie's sense of humour...).

So - there are some connections. Now you decide if they are sufficient enough to include UH in your playlist (I'd prefer UH to Dio - bear this in mind, pls)

Cheers

Yea it seems if you do dig deep you'll see a lot of cross overs.
I don't think Uriah at this moment has enough Deep Purple connection to play them.
I saw UH open for Judas Priest back in was it 1982?? for their Abominog tour.

Hey - DetPak, how about enlarging your playlist a bit ;-)?
I hope it's only a beginning and with the course of time, there will be more LLR'n'R songs that this particular one, eh ;-) (a fave of yours?) ?

I'd love to run more music..as of now I'm paying for 100 megs of space to upload mp3's to the station, that's roughly 85 songs..to upgrade it would cost me more..wanna donate?
So you want more Long Live Rock and Roll from Rainbow I assume oh here's the cost chart to run a station.
for me to add more songs it would be over double the cost for me..I need a sponsor emoticon
