A Sanctuary for Purple?

Well, post EMI, it's a nice thought. After the excellent job Sanctuary did in promoting Morrissey last year, Purple could do a lot worse.

They already provide a home to some of my other fave artists (Glenn Hughes, Dio, Gary Moore, Robert Cray, Mozzer etc). Even Ian Paice joined them recently...or was that Elton John emoticon.

Ian's quote about DP easily moving/selling all 18k pressed units is interesting. Seems like EMI would only press 18k for their own reasons ($).

I´d vote for Sanctuary too, could be a lot worse than being with the same label as another favourite band of mine(King Crimson).

Damn Them!!!!!

Seriously though Sanctuary is a great label (despite the Morrissey connection) and Purple really should move to it as they have great distribution and care more about music and less about $$$

Sanctuary Records, and a good portion of the other labels in the Sanctuary Group, know how to promote hard rock and heavy metal. That is what I know them for and they do have some popular mainstream artists on their lineup.

Not bad for a company built on the accolades of Iron Maiden.

Agree, Purple only have to win being in Sanctuary ! they are not as bing as EMI would want them to be, but a very strong name to be with Sanctuary, wich i belive have all interest in the world in promoting a band like Deep Purple emoticon

Perhaps we should remember how Sanctuary didn't really do a good job with Bananas in the US.

I have heard Haunted on the radio. Heck, if I requested it on the radio tomorrow I could probably get a song off of Bananas played.
