To close to being considered 'Batman-ish', maybe?

I didn't see the show in Detroit that year. The Toledo show was right around that time. I think that they had also gone to Flint for a show and they were all bunched together.

Gillan was very good in Toledo. The screams at the end of SKOW were excellent, way better than the awful guitar/vocal duel that just preceeded them.

The rest of the band was hot. Blackers put on a real show, as did Lord. Paice and Glover were their usual excellent selves, Paice doing a fine solo with Glover as animated as usual.

I was right up front, but not too close, and had a great view. A friend of mine caught a Paice drum stick. All in all, a great experience for Toledo.

They had all played in Toledo in various bands over the years. They actually enjoyed playing here. The Sports Arena was a great venue for a medium town. Kind of beaten up, but you couldn't hurt it. A great place for a good, rowdy, smoked-up concert.

The smelliest dressing rooms I've ever been in,that building.Great vibe, terrible facilities.Hopefully spruced up for the band.

...really? emoticon

I know Gillan's voice was often bad on that tour, but saying that a Rainbow instrumental was the best live track on the reunion tour is a bit extreme!

I'd have chosen KAYBD...for the slide solo at the end emoticon.

Also, wasnt Hungary Daze from the THOBL tour rather? And with knebworth being the only official release it doesn't have much competition does it?
