In DP he sang lead vocals on at least three tracks, he has released quite an amount of solo albums and sang lead vocals in Trapeze and Black Sabbath and has an uncountable number of sessions where he sang on tracks on many different albums.
Don´t think we were talking DP only, and even there he sang quite a lot lead parts...
I have heard "Burn", "Might just take your life", "Stormbringer", "Soldier of Fortune" and "Keep On Moving", and all are more or less sung by Coverdale, but hardly anything of Hughes. I have heard "Seventh Star", and all of it.

You Keep On Moving is Split evenly between the two,, and as we all know, Glenn sings does a decent amount of singing in Burn.

Re: Turner, Hughes, Coverdale, Gillan? Who's THE MAN?
Hughes sings Holy Man, Getting Tighter and This Time Around all alone.
Most songs are well split between the two and live there was even more space for Hughes to sing.
I wanted to showcase the vocals done by who once, I think I´ll do that soon.

What I find hard to believe is someone on this thread actually put the word fantastic in the same sentence as the words Joe Lynn Turner. Man, somebody has been hitting on the Meds that Grandma left on the counter.

Turner sounds like a glam rock vocalist.

Gillian of course!
Re: Coverdale,I never realized he made it big in DP (MK III & IV) before Whitesnake.
And I do love DP MK IV live rendition of SOTW/Georgia On My Mind-I didn't realize it was Coverdale...this was before I knew about the different versions of DP!
