JLT is Italian?
If Linquito (JLT's birth surname) is an Italian surname, then yes he is.

Re: Doogie's Spotlight Kid
Joe is indeed of Italian heritage. We spook a bit Italian when I interviewed him in Gothenburg. JLT is his stage name. Apparently his mother is an excellent pasta cook, as all Italian mothers are.

A "tribute" to old blues artist Big Joe Turner?

How good is Doogie White's version of the spotlight kid !! I think it's great, better than Joe Lynn Turners version of it anyday
Nice one Doogie !!
I have only heard the one off of "Circus Nights" , and not only was Doogie's singing the best ever for that track, but the overall musicianship was some of the best Ritchie has ever been a part of, in my opinion.
