But wouldn't a current lineup picture be more relative? Since the band is a current viable entity. Right?

Yep, I liked it too. I think it's better to have a Mk II photo there, I love the current lineup of the band but let's face it albums like In Rock, Fireball, Machinehead and Perfect Strangers is the reason we're all here for...

Christos, I agree that In Rock, Fireball, and Machine Head are what hooked me to Deep Purple. But..... I had pretty much given up on the band by the end of the 80's. I happened across Purpendicular in 96' and took a chance on it. This new and current lineup is why I am here.
