Re: A Mark 3 Topic
Watched some but not all of the video. Coverdale and Hughes certainly did not join right after the Machine Head Album. Turned it off soon after he said that.

Re: A Mark 3 Topic
Calling a band Mark 3 with just David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes being in the band?

If they could get Blackmore or Paice, it would be three original members, so the same number as Mk II members in the current DP line-up. I still wouldn't see a name like "Mk 3" being justified, but it would have some kind of DP legitimacy for me.
However, I seriously doubt that Blackmore or Paice would do.

Re: A Mark 3 Topic
Both Coverdale and Blackmore can no longer deliver the goods in even the most slightly reasonable of fashion. Blackmore can't even play the riff to "Burn" properly anymore as witnessed during the 2016-2019 Rainbow shows.

Re: A Mark 3 Topic
It sure would be interesting. But as I've never been a mk3 fan, I would not be too excited. And after having heard Blackmore's latest Rainbow gigs, I'm quite sure "Mach 3" would be rather disappointing.

Re: A Mark 3 Topic
Noland is pretty good with his videos. I can understand the mistaken part about coming in after the Machine Head album. How many people actually know about WDWTWA, other than WFT? Even then, do they know the album that it was on? Probably not. I think that it was just a faux pas, as he usually is very accurate and knowledgeable with his vids and reviews.
