Who Do We Think We Are: 50th Anniversary

By the time it was released, Blackmore and Gillan feud is beyond repair.

In my opinion Deep Purple have never release a bad album, their weaker albums are good enough for me.

A very good album, "WFT" is my fave, I also like "Smooth Dancer", "Place in Line", "Our Lady" are gems.

50 years!!! This album is older than most of you.

After 50 long years, this album deserves a "deluxe edition" reissue!!! Come on record label, this one deserves better.

What do you think about this album??

We have had this conversation. How do you envisage this theoretical release, content, presentation, format and perhaps even price?

I will be happy to be proven wrong, but I cannot think of any additional material to really justify this. Admittedly, Smelly Botty and It's Only Make Beleive were omitted from the Anniversary edition at Lord's request IIRC. Is it realistic to compile a release that would not simply be another cynical cash grab? Let us agree that any "deluxe edition" would have of offer significantly more than is to be found in the Anniversary edition. Convince me emoticon

Randys: And some people here are much older than the album emoticon
By the time it was released I didn't like as much as Machine Head, In Rock and Fireball, but t grew on me. Especially Place in Line is one of my favourite DP songs. I once heard Don Airey say that WDWTWA ia his favourite DP album.

I don't need to convince you. All you have to do is buy it, uf it becomes a reality. emoticon

I know you will buy it, once you see it. emoticon

I was 14 when it was released, only discovered it weeks later. Burn was the first one I bought on the day of release.
I loved it then and still do.
Here in Holland it got good to great reviews. Personally I think that this one and CTTB are the two that aged best of the 70s albums.
I listen to it more than MH, because those songs come a live on MiJ.
