Re: The Battle Rages On: 30th Anniversary
I doubt there is a sufficiently large market to justify the effort, especially given the previous upgraded releases.

Re: The Battle Rages On: 30th Anniversary
I would tend to agree. On the other hand, the Sabbath box sets apparently exceeded commercial expectations. I have already given my, less than favourable, opinion on these and the efforts produced by Rush (outside these three there is no other band who would sufficiently interest me enough to even contemplate buying a box set). There is too much of a rip-off factor associated with these releases, personally, I hope DP does not go down the same exploitation path.

Re: The Battle Rages On: 30th Anniversary
But I love the BRO. Great production and I love virtually all of it. For me the only duff track is One Mans Meat and I don't love the verse of Time To Kill - but the chorus, bridge and key solo are all excellent.
I don't care if Anya is Stranded re-visited because it's miles better. A personal fav is Talk About Love - great lyrics, IP is inspired, there isn't a hard rock band in the world who would have come u with anything approaching this. Ramshackle Man, great lyrics again, RB inspired soloing particularly on the ride out - DP's take on Green Onions!!

According to Mr. Turner "One man's meat" would have been a great hit with his lyrics and his voice on it.

I think on this, as on many other occasions, we can take Mr Turner's opinion cum grano salis.

Say what you will about Turner but I always preferred his lyrics for that song "Stroke of Midnight" as it's called in his version.

I would have to listen to it, which comes too close to self-flagellation for my tastes.
