Steve Morse Band "Out Standing in Their Field"
Has anyone else purchased or heard this CD? It was recorded in 2008. I just got it and have to say it is Steve, and his band, at their very best.

Yes, I have it since it was out, I still like it a lot. Great variety of styles, I enjoy Name Dropping as much as Baroque & Dreams, and the live version of Rising Power that is included as a bonus is just great ! One of my favourite SMB record, although I also like those from the early 90's, notably Stressfest...

Bought it at the time, still enjoying it. I'd say that if one wants to approach the Steve Morse Band discography it's one of the most focused releases. Of course, ridiculous musicianship!

I have been following Steve Morse for over 40 years. And of course I own this album as well. But I like his older stuff even more.
