Thanks snakehead! I would love to find a recording of a full gig by Qautermass but haven't yet. Actually I don't think they played that many dates back then and in 1971 they already became Hard Stuff. I only have a short tape recorded for Swedish tv in Stockholm in '70 on a bootleg called "Pteranodon in paradise"and that's it.

There is a bootleg "A Phantom Pteranodon" from Berlin, 04.03.1971. I had it once, but when I transferred the DVD copy to hard drive iit was corrupt.

and then one wonders why Japan is the best...it's not just the fact that there are musicians playing this repertoire (I could find a few nerd guys like me and organize an evening of Quatermass music myself), it's rather the fact that there are people in room listening, an audience, enjoying themselves. Amazing.
