Now What, for me for consistency and some stand out tracks. Infinite for birds of prey , time for bedlam and the surprising. These three songs stand out as modern classics.
Purpendicular had a great vibe running through it but really needed tidying up and maybe dropping a couple of tracks. The real disappointment was the follow up abandon which "abandoned" the vibe from the previous album and just dull for me. Whoosh got the consistency back and a vibe running through it but nothing stands out as classic.
On Bananas I only like silver tongue.
ROTD I would rate higher but for the poor production and poor song construction , IMHO Purpendicular and ROTD would have benefited most from an Ezrin like involvement.
Long answer to a vote but it is "Now What" for me.

Yeah, my bad, I checked it against Wikipedia and then it must've autocorrected.

Now What is one of the best albums by anyone in the last 10 years. Heck, maybe even 20.

Although I voted for Purp, I think that Rapture and Bananas are excellent albums and technically rate higher for me than the others. Could have used some 'work' here and there, but Gillan sounds good and the songs are good, solid DP tunes.
