A new album in 2023 or 2024?

I read in THS, in the VWMusic interview that Deep Purple will booked a writing session in March 2023.

A possibility of a 23rd studio album! That's awesome!

I just hope it's with Steve Morse. emoticon

I just hope that his wife recovered and Steve Morse is ready by March 2023 to write music again for the new album.

I prefer SMFA over SMFI you know. emoticon

Now we got something to look forward in 2023.

My estimate. emoticon

March-May writing with Bob Ezrin
June-August recording with Bob Ezrin

November-December 2023 release of the 23rd album! emoticon emoticon emoticon

You like that huh?!

I think I’m a minority here.

I think Steve is a great guy and a great guitarist, but his solos in DP are much the same. So I wouldn’t mind that another would step in.

Even the 3 Ezrin albums I rarely listen to. Just anew songs and then I have enough.

I agree, but he's not the only soloist in the band for whom this is valid.

The positive side of the non Blackmore years was that I could divert my money into savings.

When I hear Gillan or Glover say that they change the songs every night I just smile. To me they are just playing playing by numbers. When Ritchie left almost all real improvisations were gone. Certainly after Lord left.
