Re: next batch of live releaseas
Deep Purple is a global band!
We need an official release of...
Deep Purple
Live in Seoul, Korea
Live in Moscow, Russia
Live in Hungary
Live in Canada
Live in Dubai
Live in Mexico
Live in Argentina
Live in Finland
Live in Brazil
Live in what places do you want???
We need something different, I'm tired of the usual live in Japan, US, Germany and UK, we have hundreds of live albums like these.
"Bombay Calling" live in India and "Live in Hong Kong China" is a welcome development for me.

It's been a long time since I looked at my DPAS Magazines but I think I remember reading that they put the interview over the beginning of Fireball because there was a tape glitch at the beginning of the song that couldn't be repaired.
Taken from the DPAS DVD review section:
The recording was originally by Indian TV, who made an admirable job of it. It's a good, solid, multi-camera production which captures the wonderful atmosphere of the band's first visit to India. According to the sleevenotes, the tapes were discovered lying forgotten (what, after only four years??) in a cardboard box in November 1999. The master that Thames / Thompson had to work with doesn't get off to an ideal start. It begins with footage of a press conference. When the show kicks off with 'Fireball' the interview soundtrack continues. At that point I can no longer concentrate on what's being said, as my brain is screaming "yes, yes, get on with it!". When we finally do get the sound from the gig the band are already well into Fireball, but at least that's it, the production stays with the show through to the end.

Re: next batch of live releaseas
Thanks P.S. I was too lazy to get out my old magazines. I'm glad the DVD Review sections had it.

Re: next batch of live releaseas
No problem.
Had a great few hours re-reading them. I'd for gotten just how good they were and I found an article about a soundboard gig in Paris in 1970 (NOT Pop Duex) and then found and downloaded it on the web. So I have some extra Purple in their pomp to revel in as a result.

Re: next batch of live releaseas
Bombay Calling just been delivered by the Royal Mail and I can confirm that Fireball is on the DVD only. The CD starts with Maybe I'm a Leo.
Oh and by the way...It all sounds great!

I love Bombay Calling. I like the way it was filmed and presented in its natural setting. It's a cool, concert atmosphere that you don't get with most live dvd releases.
