Jons concerto with Roger Glover and Bruce Dickinson

excellent version IMHO 
Bruce gives a fine performance singing a song by his hero Ian Gillan .
This will always be a Gillan song for me but BD does well here and he still has a lot of power in his voice which sadly Ian no longer has .
One observation is that I always think Bruce looks bit awkward and restricted when hes stuck in the one place rather than bounding all round the stage as he still does in maiden.

Yes, good from Bruce (he is 13 years younger than Gillan) but his "dancing" is awful IMO. Brings to mind the worst excesses of JLT.

Not bad. Mann looks like he's stoned, but the performance is good. Something is off, though. BD is quite fine, as always, but it is missing that classic Gillan tone. Gillan had tone and resonance that can't be replicated. Today maybe, not so much, but when they were new, he couldn't be beat. RG looked like somebody painted his face on him. I'd like to see him go back to the hats that he wore back in the day. They would be much better than the bandana.

He does look awkward on stage at times when hes not doing his own thing with Maiden.
Hes definitely out of his comfort zone being restricted to a small area of the stage, he still performs with so much energy with Maiden its like hes been caged when stuck to the one area.
When he fronts Maiden hes one of the all time great rock frontmen IMHO.
I often think hes nervous when playing with DP? as they were of course his heroes when growing up

i agree as i said its very much a Gillan song and Gillan in his day was untouchable vocally (sadly his day was decades ago)
Rog is doing a fine Willie Nelson impersonation thesis days
