SENJUTSU vs THE BOOK OF SOULS
Iron Maiden have release their second 'double album' and that's equivalent to 2CD/3LP.
I only heard THE BOOK OF SOULS and I loved it. I'm still waiting for my copy of SENJUTSU, because you know when you live in a third world country you're always the last in line when it comes to latest vinyl or CD releases.
Most of you already have these two 'double albums', man I wish DP have one double album.
Which is the better album???

At this moment in time as much as i loved and still do love TBOS i would choose Senjutsu which seems to get better with every listen. Its obviously a double album where CD1 generally has the shorter more upbeat numbers whereas CD2 has the sprawling epics .Its just a bloody fantastic collection of songs.I think Bruce sounds better on Senjutsu then TBOS some of his vocal work and storytelling on this new album is simply superb.Nicko is brilliant as is Steve and the 3 guitarists are awesome ,some of the soloing is incredible.

Re: SENJUTSU vs THE BOOK OF SOULS
I also think Senjutsu is slightly better than Book of souls. Musically and sonically they're not that different but I find the new one being a bit more mature in songwriting and arrangements, without those few missteps that BOS had. More consistent.

+1 for the new release.
The 2nd half (plus track 2) could've made an all timer in Maiden's catalog, imo.
(Though, to be frank, i'm not entirely well versed on the band, only recently becoming immersed in theit output).

Re: SENJUTSU vs THE BOOK OF SOULS
I only have time to finish the first record, but I like what I'm hearing. Maybe tomorrow I'll listen to record #2.
I kept looking at the gatefold artwork, I can't concentrate on the music.

Re: SENJUTSU vs THE BOOK OF SOULS
After one listens I think "The Book of Souls" songs have a little more impact on me than "Senjutsu", so as of now it has a slight advantage.
