Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?

emoticon emoticon earMusic shared (and just deleted) a very little piece of clip from Oh Well clip - without a song. If I´m correct, we can expect a VERY VERY EXTRAORDINARY cameo from VERY superspecial guest there. I shared it with my friends who are even bigger fans of "other group" and they recognized him at first moment as I did.... If I´m correct and this guy is really going to play role in clip, it´s going to be most exciting Purple collab I can even imagine.... JUST EXCITED! emoticon emoticon emoticon

edit - teaser is reuploaded.

Oh well emoticon - in case of Purple I cannot imagine more extraordinary appearance (be it in video or on a record) other than Ritchie B. Or perhaps Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton - this kind of figure. Others do not much to me in this context - and Peter Green is not with us any more...

I hope there will be a physical release of "Oh Well" and "Seven and Seven Is" as 10 inches vinyl singles.

This man seems logic. He worked with IG, IP and Ezrin and his latest show was on tribute to Peter Green. And he is in the same league as Page or Clapton, I actually prefer him to both. Its (obviously) not RB but he plays Stratocaster too... emoticon

Song is online already and he is not playing in song (despite the fact that ending part of Oh Well is just "suggestive" emoticon )- but cameo as barman in clip looks obvious to me. emoticon

Yeah, could be DG emoticon, maybe that's why his face is blurred.
They already did a similar trick in "Johnny's Band" video, inviting some musicians from less known bands - apparently this time they decided for a top notch star... We'll see in a few hours.

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?

I really like the video as it's nicely playing with the topics of covering / stealing: robbing the instruments from Fleetwood Mac (at least one guy reminds of Mick Fleetwood), taking the melody from Ray Charles and finally hunting Bob Dylan down for the lyrics. And in the end they get caught where it's really a pleasure to watch the expression on their faces. Especially Big Ian' acting is great!
The only thing I don't get is the old white man in Ray Charles' trunk.and whether the man with the blurred face really is David Gilmour doesn't get quite clear.

On the other hand, they added something new to the Song. However, I'm Not 100% sure, whether this classical really needs a guitar / keyboard duel. At least, the slow Endung gets a meaning with the video; listening to the Song alone I was puzzle why they added such an ending
