Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
I have a feeling that Steve Morse has something to do with the inclusion of the song "Dixie Chicken".

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
So the boxset has an extra track, "I'm a roadrunner".

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
Since you are a partner in crime, you are going to have the option to download an exclusive non album track for free two weeks before the release of "Turning to Crime".
Note in the earmusic turning to crime newsletter.

Pre-ordered on vinyl...that's how my collection is, too late to stop now. Not overly excited, but then, I've not been excited by too many albums over the last decade or more. Old age might be kicking in.....

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
I'm now listening to Aerosmith's "Honkin on Bobo" to prepare myself for "Turning to Crime", to my surprised this Aerosmith's covers album is really good.

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
I can't wait to add TURNING TO CRIME vinyl to my 19 Deep Purple studio albums (19 only because I don't have ABANDON and BANANAS on vinyl) and add the CD to my 21 compact disc.
Wow! I can't believe it's 22 already.

Re: Turning to Crime - an album with covers?
In my opinion Deep Purple is on the right track by doing a covers album, just like the legendary rock band the Rolling Stones.
The Rolling Stones' last studio album "Blue & Lonesome" is a covers album, just like "Turning to Crime".
The Rolling Stones released a "double album" in the 1970s titled "Exile On Main St", now let's hope Deep Purple next album would be a double album. Hehehe.

I remember Aerosmith also covering Rocking pneumonia, not on Bobo though, maybe it was some b-side, I must have it somewhere. Pretty sure they also covered Oh well, one time or another.

That's right, I used to have that on vinyl, it's from the soundtrack of "Less Than Zero", that also includes the Bangles, LL Cool J..
