I can't believe that Steve Morse will have 8 albums and Don Airey will have 6 album with Deep Purple soon while Joe Satriani have 0 album with them and Joe Lynn Turner have only 1 album with DP.

If they re-recorded some old or not so old purple stuff I'd be okay with that, especially some of the badly produced pieces. However, I can't really get excited at the prospect of old rock n roll numbers or even other band's songs.
When I first saw a possible new album so quick I did wonder if they were looking at covers, so wouldn't be a total surprise.
