Setlist fatigue remains high though. We've been saying this for years but it's time for a major overhaul. Gillan continues to diminish as expected but still a great singer in my eyes. Bringing Blind Man back into the set is a good choice as he is still OK on that. I do question why there is so little change in the setlist but then again Smoke, Black Night and Hush are probably easier on the voice. Gillan is now starting to struggle even on smoke though. It's time to ditch these back-to-back nights, the Stone stopped that 20 years ago and have gone to 3-4 day gaps between shows now. Maybe it will help but maybe it won't.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Fule)Fri, 28 Oct 2022 22:16:50 +0000 Re: 2022 UK dateshttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524379,from=rss#post524379https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524379,from=rss#post524379I think a lot of us die hards and quite a few casual fans thought the last UK tour would be the last chance to see the band. Manchester was pretty well packed the last time and the show went down well. I don't think I will go because the set list is one of those in between albums set lists, i.e. not enough new material, one or two rarer tracks and the same bloody encore!nondisclosed_email@example.com (intothefire1969)Wed, 05 Oct 2022 07:32:58 +0000 Re: 2022 UK dateshttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524375,from=rss#post524375https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524375,from=rss#post524375seems ticke sales have been strong on the last few tours in the UK? perhaps people are on the fence, and many will buy on the actual day of the gig? many bands still cancel/postpone things in the post-covid world, which make buying tickets months in advance risky business indeednondisclosed_email@example.com (eiricd)Mon, 03 Oct 2022 18:46:26 +0000 Re: 2022 UK dateshttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524270,from=rss#post524270https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p524270,from=rss#post524270Ticket sales look particularly poor for Manchester and Leeds. I was going to take my teenage son to Birmingham where sales look better but can no longer make that night. Manchester is an alternative but I'm thinking it's going to detract from the occasion if it's barely 1/4 full. I'm guessing the number of tickets sold but there are still loads of floor seats left for sale and some blocks on 1st tier (e.g. block 110) have virtually no seasts sold - needless to say the upper/2nd tier will just be blanked off.nondisclosed_email@example.com (PaulJacklin)Mon, 12 Sep 2022 23:36:22 +0000 2022 UK dateshttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p522828,from=rss#post522828https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p522828,from=rss#post522828A message from the organiser: "In light of the ongoing situation with COVID-19, the Deep Purple UK tour can no longer take place in October 2021.
