I'd love to hear some interpretations. Or are they just lyrics supposing to sound cool (which I don't mind)

Rapture of the deep, a phrase from Jacques Cousteau, is what occurs when deep see divers get Nitrogen Narcosis. The feeling is to be of euphoria.
A lot Gillan (and Glover) lyrics work on more than one level.
Listening to Purple can be quite euphoric as indeed can being in a deep relationship.
