Re: The ROCK Album
and now it works...
I wonder if the RH and ITL tracks are from the long awaited re-release?
The unused F&B song is classic, commercial WS. It should have been on the album.
The cover is REALLY bad...

Re: The ROCK Album
The new song is better than some of the tracks on F & B. Reminds me a bit of Now You're Gone -same type of song. Sorry, but my immediate reaction after listening twice is that I can't help that what would have elevated it to something special would have DC's voice of old. He gets by on it, no more no less.

Re: The ROCK Album
Shame the notes are a load of old cobblers!
"Restless Heart (1997) gets its due on the collection with four songs, including the blistering “Can’t Stop Now.” "
Really? i count 2 songs from Restless Heart - Restless heart and Crying. There's no track on "Restless Heart" called Can't Stop Now but there is one called Can't Go On.

Re: The ROCK Album
Can't Stop Now was a bonus on the Japanese version, as well as Anything You Want...

Re: The ROCK Album
Derek Sherinian says:
"I am proud to be featured on the new Whitesnake compilation "The Rock Album"!
I re-recorded the keys on the albums "Slip Of The Tongue" and "Restless Heart", which many songs are on this release- a LOT of Hammond B3! Thank you DC for the opportunity!"
Should be interesting to hear Slip of the tongue material with a proper Hammond organ (even though that's for me the last problem with those songs).

Re: The ROCK Album
Derek Sherinian says he re-recorded keyboards for Slip of the Tongue as well as Restless Heart? Restless Heart makes sense, but not sure why DC would have him do SOTT as well, as it's already had it's big box set re-release. Someone on Facebook also posted a link to a DC interview over the weekend where DC (whilst talking about the WS box sets released in recent years) suggested these 3 upcoming new compilation albums included teasers of what's to come. I'm hoping that does mean Restless Heart re-released in its entirety, with some bells and whistles attached
