I think, per the Simon Robinson book from 30 years back, Standing in the shadow of love was one song written and supposedly linked to when DC and that possible schenker connection was muted.

I think that Standing In The Shadow would have worked with Schenker. I think he would have taken Love Ain't No Stranger to new heights as well, but some of the older material wouldn't have fitted. Really can't imagine MS riffing away on Ready An' Willing.
DC dodged a bullet with Dancer though!
