Went to see them in Bristol last night.
I know i'm getting old but it was loud. Glenn's vocals were too low in the mix. What's the point of having GH in the band if you can't make out what he was singing? and the bass was high up and the songs don't lend themselves to funky playing so it all became just bludgeon with no swing. Not helped by the drumming of Clufetos which is from the Aldridge style of hit them as hard as possible. All in all a bit disappointing.
Oh and they played Mistreated & Burn but I much preferred the GH renditions on his Purple tour.

Yeah I saw them in October. Heard the vocals fine but up front the bass was too loud. They are now tuned down a whole step. For non musicians , this means a song like Burn - which is in the key of G is two keys below that now in F. Even though I have almost all the Daisies albums , they would start a song and I wouldn’t recognize it at first . Songs change a huge amount when the dropping starts to get two keys. So yeah , you can still say Glenn sings great , but this is a huge cheat/helper also. Yes , David Lowy flies them in his personal Gulfstream jet.
