Re: Joshua vs Ruiz

Before the fight, in my opinion the best heavyweights are Joshua, Wilder and Fury.

Now I'm a fan of Andy Ruiz, Jr.

Re:

Ruiz was 95-5 as an amateur and fought on Mexican Olympic team - I don't think he medaled. Going into Joshua fight he was 32-1 with over 20 ks and only loss coming on split decision with Joseph Parker on WBO title 2 years back. I thought he could have had that decision but I did think Parker eeked it out. BTW Parker, who is a great fighter, when he fought AJ, was the only person to go the distance with AJ. The ref in the AJ Parker fight was very strange and did not allow Parker to maul AJ after Parker hit him with some good body shots. That being said it was not a surprise to me given Ruiz's background. Ruiz has fastest hands in HW division, next would be Parker.

FWIW I don't think AJ was same after Klitschko. He struggled with Takam, Parker and Povetkin.

Re: Joshua vs Ruiz

You are right. Ruiz is faster than AJ, he throws one power shots and Ruiz will counter with two or more.

In my opinion if they had a rematch, Ruiz will beat him again, because he is faster, hit harder, stronger, the guy is chubby but he has more stamina than AJ. I don't think he can match that speed, he will simply run out of gas and Ruiz will make him a punching bag. Others will disagree though.

😊

Agree 100% with you. I think Ruiz can also beat wilder. Not sure about Fury.

I think the guy that beats everyone is Oleksander Usyk. Wait and seeemoticon

Lets see if GGG bombs this week...time to start another thread!!!

Re: Joshua vs Ruiz

I'm still pickin' Andy Ruiz for the win in their rematch.

My fears are...
There is more money in a trilogy.
Ruiz won in a chubby body, he's thinner now, but I think he will be more faster.

My prediction is Andy Ruiz by TKO!
