Err, Randys, do you really think that anybody close to the band us readibg this forum and will consider your wishes? Hahaha
I had(private mess)conversations here with Jon Lord and he had no problem to answer questions. Doogie White and Nick Simper have been here too.
About wishes I don't know..

Re: New Album underway!!
Usually they dont make double album, only single album.
Short like MH, DPiR & Burn.
Abandon & ROTD, long but with some fillers IMHO.
I'm sure earMusic will promote them well.

No more covers please, except for the outtakes and bonus tracks.
Well, I'll humbly suggest a cover of Rainbow's Black Masquerade.
Yea, and in return Rainbow covering Rapture Of The Deep. Could well imagine that Ritchie likes the main theme.
Interesting you mention ROTD, cause I have this theory that, apart from the eastern main riff, the chord progression in the verses, G minor/A major, comes straight from the same progression in Stargazer, also used by Ritchie sometimes for the jam preceding Difficult to cure. Could be a subconscious thing from Don or Roger.

Re:
If there is a similarity to Stargazer, I guess it's coincidence. G minor / A major isn't too unusual. Perhaps it's even from Steve Morse.

Re: New Album underway!!
If Bob Ezrin is the producer in ROTD, he will make the totle track more epic like Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir", make it 8 minutes long, maybe adding different instrument.

Re: New Album underway!!
I think he would have fade out after the first solo...
He doesn't like Morse's guitarsound / work
