Iommi plans to remix BORN AGAIN
In one of the recent interviews Tony Iommi mentions that after remixing 'Forbidden' he would like to work on 'BORN AGAIN'. Interesting thought.
“That was the album we made with Ian Gillan [in 1983],” Iommi explained. “It sounded great in the studio, but there was a problem with pressing.”
“It would be great to fix it up. But you know what? The tapes have disappeared into the Don Arden [former manager] pit. We’ve found about five tracks, the rest are all missing. Such a shame.”

Don Arden was basically a criminal and a thug. The apple really didn't fall far from the tree with his daughter, either.

Re: Iommi plans to remix BORN AGAIN
Anyway, although I'm a bit hesitant of all that remixing/remastering stuff, I'd love to hear a re-worked version of Born Again. There's some really powerfull stuff, for example Gillan's singing on the title track and on Keep it Warm. These songs should sound huge and deserve to be classics.

Re:
Gillan ruins the title track with his hysterical vocals. Glenn Hughes would've done a much better job on this beautiful haunting guitar riff.

Re: Iommi plans to remix BORN AGAIN
I think it's a bass riff.
I think it's a highpoint of the album.

Re: Iommi plans to remix BORN AGAIN
How is Iommi going to remix Born Again without the master tapes?
Usually any remix could be re-named as "ruined" but in the case of BA it might be a good thing.

I agree. It sounds like he was caught in a bear trap. I never really liked his vocals on the album, anyway. He sounds OK on some of the tracks, but you can tell that his voice isn't where it was only a couple of years back.

If it can be done, it can only help with this album.

Re:
WOW.... I consider Born Again as whole album as IG´s best vocal performance throughout (I mean as complete album) - it´s outstanding performance from first to the last second. He just shines on this whole record.
