Is Jon the only one
Who can make the keyboards sound powerful in "Perfect Strangers"? In DP's and Rainbow's version with the current line ups, the sound always sounds thin and weak. This is not a knock on their keyboard players as they are fantastic but just can't seem to do this song justice.

Very true. It's not just about playing it right, even though Johanssen could spend 10 minutes doing so, but Jon had a touch all of his own on the instrument, authoritative, believable, always in the moment.
For the same reason, I don't think I ever heard somebody other than Ritchie playing the riff to Mistreated in a credible way, passionate. It's like they are faking it, pretending to be inspired. For this, I enjoyed how Whitesnake were leaving out that riff in the 80's. Recent versions are useless.
