The top five DP / related live shows you witnessed
I hope we didn't have that before. If we did, dear admins, feel free to delete or close this thread.
So now please state your top five DP / related live shows. Just those you witnessed yourself at the concert venue, nothing you know just from CD or DVD (I guess there have been enough "top 5" lists for that). Here's mine:
1. Rainbow, Osnabrück, Germany, October 16th, 1995.
Simply out of this world. Absolutely unforgettable.
2. DP, Würzburg, Germany, February 23rd, 1991.
Certainly one of the best shows in 1991. The band were on fire, even JLT couldn't destroy it. At this day he was the right singer for them.
3. DP, Halle, Germany, June 5th, 1994.
From the four Satriani shows I saw this was the best one. The band were cooking from start to finish, Gillan was in fine form.
4. DP, Hamburg, Germany, October 8th, 1993.
The only time I saw Mk II. It wasn't one of their best shows, but still a decent one. They did the Burn riff in Speed King, Ritchie and Roger swapped guitars in SOTW, sadly Gillan's announcements were boring.
5. Rainbow, Birmingham, England, June 25th, 2016.
From the three 2016 shows (which I all visited) this was the best one. And thousands of fans singing "echo in the distance like a sound of a windmill going 'round" in Soldier Of Fortune was a magic moment.
Now yours, please.

Jon Lord - Concerto in Edinburgh - 2009
Jon + young musicians from Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Stevenson College (Edinburgh). Amazing version of Child In Time.
Whitesnake - Glasgow Apollo - 1981
My very first gig and still one of the best I've seen.
Rainbow - Edinburgh Playhouse - 1983 (2nd night)
First night was not good, second night was like a different band!
Deep Purple - Glasgow Barrowlands - 1996
First time seeing the Mk Morse band and a welcome shake up of the setlist.
Rainbow - Berlin Velodrom - 2018
Ode to Joy in Germany! Improvisation! Great night.

Re: The top five DP / related live shows you witnessed
1. Deep Purple with the LSO Albert Hall 1999 (first night). So much emotion during that show, it was an incredible evening.
2. Deep Purple in Belgium (Genk) 1985- My first time seeing Purple.I was 15 and had to jump the entire concert to be able to see what was going on on the stage (the venue was just horrible!). Such a great memory though!
3. Deep Purple in Brussels (Abandon Tour). September 1998. Band absolutely on fire!
4. Whitesnake in Brussels December 2015. I remember there being a lot of tension in Belgium after the Paris carnage at the Bataclan, many concerts canceled, WS was the first the authorities allowed to go on.The crowd (and the bands-The Dead Daisies too) were just in need of some kind of celebration and release of stress.
5. Ian Paice drum clinic somewhere in Belgium around 1998/99.
Had the pleasure to see Ian Paice drumming up close and afterwards the pleasure to chat with him and take a few pics.

Any of the Rainbow shows here in Toledo. Ritchie always put on a great show here. The first DP show in Detroit on the PS tour. Superb. DP in Toledo for the HOBL tour. Another excellent show. I really liked their show at the Palace Of Auburn Hills with JLT. Very, very good. JLT was quite fine that evening.
