Flesh and Blood delayed til 2019
Apparently due to technical reasons.
A video has been filmed so I assume the album was finished.
This years Flesh and Blood world tour looks a little premature.

It is with great disappointment that, following technical issues whilst mixing the new "Flesh and Blood” album, Whitesnake/David Coverdale and Frontiers have mutually agreed to delay the album’s release until early 2019.
The release of the new studio record will coincide with Whitesnake’s Flesh & Blood world tour.
Whitesnake would like to express their sincere regrets to their fans all over the world for any and all disappointment and promise that the album and tour will be worth waiting for.

techical issues....yeah right.
There is certainly a problem somwhere, but I'm guessing it has nothing to do with the art of caputring a performance on tape. or hard drive.
personell changes on the way and the need for subsequent re-recordings?

This is what the magazine RockTop is suggesting as well, it appears there are tensions in the band...Not un-usual for WS. Weither it's true or not, I don't know.

2019 is a long way off, it wouldn’t be unusual for WS to release an LP with one set of musicians and then tour with another.
DC ain’t getting any younger, doesn’t make sense, perhaps issues with the quality of product or performance.

Hoekstra was actually pretty upfront in responding to comments on Blabbermouth. Not sure how well that would go down with DC, although to be fair he didn't say anything out of line- even going so far as to say that it's absolutely NOT anything to do with the vocals, that DC isn't pretending he's 25 any longer on this record and that people may be pleasantly surprised by DC's vocals on the album.
I just find it really surprising that we've gone from a video being shot for a single which DC 'hoped' would be available this month (May) to the whole album being put back till next year. It feels like there must be more to this than meets the eye, but I hope that the breathing space is used to allow a proper producer to mix the album as I feel recent WS studio productions have suffered badly from the DIY production.
