Of course you may, as long as you can stand contradiction. I found these songs done by Glenn's band more powerful as the latest renditions I've heard from the Endless Goodbye Tour band.

IMO they completely "lacks" authenticity feeling. I dont know how to describe that, but SOTW sounded like good rock band with GH guesting playing SOTW to please the audience - Mk3/4 songs simply dont have these "cover" stuff feeling as these two had, GH is able to personalize them and actually is probably the best man to perform them. In case of SOTW and HS - it´s not the case at all, they sound a bit dated and have that "cover feeling".

The songs are dated. If you play them in an authentic way (no time-stretch versions like DP Mk Morse did with Highway Star), it's not surprising that they sound dated.

However, for me they weren't the kernel of the show of course. I came to hear Mk III and IV songs.

Re: 18 month "plays Classic Purple" tour

Am I right assuming Glenn played the Burn album in its entirety during the last South American dates? Does this mean the live debut of A200?

I don't think he's played A200.

He was going to play the full Burn album on the South American dates this year, which have now been pulled.

Re:

Great show in Munich yesterday. Glenn was very happy: „I love Munich. Great memories. We recorded two Purple albums here. And I love Circus Krone. It was right here where I played an orchestral concert with Jon Lord in 1973.“ Set list: Stormbringer, Might just take your Life, You keep on moving, Sail away, Mistreated, Smoke on the Water, Burn, Highway Star.
