Re: MK2 Best recorded studio track ?
I also love the PS sound, across the entire album. It felt very natural and rich. If I should pick a track, it could be KAYB, mostly because of the prominence of the guitar and both its sound and soloing, which was an eye-opener in years of mindless shred.
In general, I feel a lot of great albums were recorded in the early Eighties production-wise, when new technology started to emerge and yet it was still a means to an end, and not like today, where a lot of music seems built to showcase the production instead of the other way around.
An underrated album I discovered much later (again in terms of sound/production) was WDWTWA, which I had initially not paid attention to - it still sounds fresh today.

Re: MK2 Best recorded studio track ?
IMHO CTTB (from DP 70s albums) aged the best, followed by WDWTWA.
And I always loved those albums. Couldn't understand why people didn't like WDWTWA and CTTB.
Again imho MH is soundwise the worst.

I think that WDWTWA is a terrible album, I can't listen to it at all. CTTB has aged really well, TB sounds great.
