Re: New Studio Album
I am looking forward to hearing what Reb and Joel have written with DC. It does give the new material a different dynamic to the 2 albums written with Doug- so bring it on! My biggest fear is the in-house production job, assuming of course that it is being self-produced.

Re: New Studio Album
I'm actually more than worried, almost horrified at the thought of Beach/Hoestra writing Whitesnake songs, producing them with Coverdale and, saddest of all, with David singing them.
But, then again, don't worry for my opinion, as I lost enthusiasm for Whitesnake with 1987. Thinking about it, I loved his previous music so much, that I ended up buying every following release still the same.

Haha. Me too but i can't say much since 1983 has impressed me much. Rather hoping for something akin to Restless Heart/Into The Light but expecting Forevermore/Good to Be Bad part 3.

Well, there are good songs on both of those albums but the production is generally too dense. Nothing wrong with David's vocal work on them either.
Good songs, clean production will be enough.

Re: New Studio Album
I liked the production on Restless Heart and Into the light. On Good to be bad and Forevermore a lot less so.

Re: New Studio Album
I loved the production on Into The Light. That was the last time DC engaged a 'proper' producer.

Re: New Studio Album
A few months ago DC tweeted he was off to the studio to meet an old friend (or similar). Glenn Hughes has said in a new interview that he has recorded something with a famous fellow but it wasn't down to him to say who or what. This is on Blabbermouth.
Could Glenn be guesting on the new WS album or am I jumping to conclusions?

Re: New Studio Album
The two things I saw Glenn say were this;
1. "I will be touring with a famous guitarist in 2018"
2. "I will be singing on the album of another famous guitarist but its not up to me to announce it".
At least that's the clickbait headline Blabbermouth went with.
