Aye, the old WS ‘lost it’s hunger’....DC rather unkindly suggesting the first 4 Zeppelin LPs were ripped off old blues tunes .....ouch!
One of the most amazing things about the history between DC and Led Zeppelin is his "friendship" with Plant up until the 1987 album. I know they met initially during the Purple period (between 73-75) and Plant appeared at several Whitesnake gigs in the early 1980's. Was his daughter Carmen a fan? Dunno ...
Interesting to view that interview. DC taking a shot at the first four Zep albums cant have gone over well with Plant. (although, considering how many time Led Zeppelin has been sued ... successfully ... it's a little on the nosey)

Re: Jon Lord Interview 1983 French TV...
I think that Lord and Plant were friendly. I know that he played on some of Plant's stuff and they did some shows that are on YT. I think that Paice also appeared with Plant at the same time. I know that Lord presented LZ with some kind of big award and JPJ played at the Jon Lord memorial show. Maybe there were some friendly, tongue in cheek stuff said here and there, but I can't imagine that it was serious.
