Is this Rod Evans?
Hi folks. If you go to "YouTube" and type in "Foil Rod Evans", there is a guy that looks like(to me) and has an accent like Rod. He's doing an insurance commercial. Could this be him?

Never understood what the obsession with Rod was on this forum and some other places. Seems to me like Bigfoot could come out and give an interview and it wouldn't be half as big as ''finding Rod'' over here.  I guess I just don't find Rod all that interesting. In fact he's kinda useless. Ok voice for what he had to do but there were many who could fill his shoes so *shrugs*.

I like the MKI Line up(only topped by MKII IMHO). Those first 3 albums have stood the test of time better than some of the later albums. Rod did a great job on those albums. As for Bigfoot, isn't he in line to be Purple's next singer should Gillan quit

Hey I love MKI too, my second favorite line-up, first two albums have some big classics and I'd rank the third album ''Deep Purple'' just below their very best and way better than any post PS...I just never cared for Evan's voice, he did a fine job but If it was anyone else wouldn't make much difference. To me anyway.

Rod was important because his lineup opened the door for all others. I still listen to those first three albums (first two more than the third) and love them. I don't quite the fascination behind trying to find him...seems to me if he wanted to be found he would've shown up to the RNRHOF inductions.

Indeed it could.
I'm also very fascinated by the quality of mk I, a line-up which after all recorded one of the bands greatest all time hits, Hush. In my humble opinion both Rod Evans and Nick Simper should have been included in the RRHF.
