What the hell happened here? I just said that Ritchie´s performance is 99,99% "out of game" as he has his operation (wish him luck and fast recovery - as I´m going to see him in July) and what a reaction came in? I really dont know what caused your reactions - I just copied and pasted statement from Ritchie´s facebook site here, NOTHING else.

So let´s say that Ritchie´s performance on RRHOF is for 99,9999% out of game....
Your smiley gives the impression that you are happy that Ritchie is ill and can't perform during the RRHOF induction.
Of course NOT.... that´s not like that!
That was also my impression.
Then I´m very sorry - I didnt want to create that impression... it really wasnt meant like that.

Even if you are a fan of the Mark Morse Purple and you enjoy Marks 7/8 albums more than Marks 1/2/3, still you want or you are longin, hungry, thirsty to see Ritchie plays with DP for the very last time, even for a few minutes.

Re: Deep Purple and RNRHOF: finally...
Now if the situation is different and Ritchie is still with Deep Purple and playing with DP for the last 30 years and the last time Steve is playing with DP is 30 years ago, hey I want to see Steve plays with DP for the last time. 😃😀

I repeat once again - I would have no problem with Ritchie to guest with Deep Purple and to have a jam with Steve etc.... But actually - I dont feel any hunger for that. I would have no problem with that - if they want to do it, fine... but I dont care about it, as fan I dont want them to being pushed into anything against their own feelings / wishes. That´s my position. If they want, fine. If they dont want to do that, fine.... it´s completely up to them. I want Ritchie to play rock - definately, but I prefer him to do it with HIS own band (new Rainbow), than with Deep Purple. Actually - the reason is that I dont like that "nostalgic madness" which happened when David Gilmour performed with Roger Waters in 2011 - they did it, and it started the wave of (actually dumb) questions like "are you going to reunite?", "are you going to do something like that again?", "are you going to revive Pink Floyd?" etc etc. This part of it is actually absolutely pointless and absurd. Remember Led Zeppelin´s O2 performance and what followed after the show and after Celebarion Day release? Band should have a freedom to do whatever they want!

Re: Deep Purple and RNRHOF: finally...
If Ritchie shows up, he should play. Gillan owes his fame to MKII and Blackmore, Lord and Paice, especially Blackers. In that respect, he should back off. Nothing wrong with the present group playing during the induction. If Lord was still alive, would Gillan have a problem with him sitting in during the ceremony? Gillan can't marginalize Ritchie's contribution to Purple and his career. It is ongoing because of MKII. MKII and III are the reason they are being inducted, so he should live with it.

Ritchie as guest only in the RRHOF??? Just like when Uli Jon Roth or Rival Son's guitarist did??? It's clear that you don't want it. It's the RRHOF, it's not a gig in Eastern Europe.
Being pushed into something that they don't want to do??? As far as I know, only Gillan is the one who dont want to go. Paice and Glover have yet to make a statement, I think they are the ones whos being pushed against their wishes.
You dont feel the hunger for it??? Really? Okay, your the best fan.
Nostalgia??? Whats wrong with being ask questions like that??? They are not gonna die, if ask about that. it's a good media publicity, just ask The famous music managers. This is the first time that major news networks have talk about Deep Purple.

Just to add to the nostalgia thing, Gillan should tell anyone who interview him that they should NOT ask questions about "SOTW", "Machine Head", "Montreux" and so on, it's "nostalgia" man.

1.) Full Deep Purple gig or tour in Eastern Europe or Japan is more important than 5 minute performance for RRHOF.
2.) Just like when Uli Jon Roth or Rival Son's guitarist did???
Or exactly like Jon Lord or Joe Satriani did.

We actually dont know the position of other members and I think that Don´s and Steve´s opinions are going to be fundamental. I expect that current band is going to act as one unity. I expect all current members there to perform with others (past members) as "guests" or "co-stars"... or noone (from current linup) performing... Giving a speech is completely different matter.

I think that journalists should ask about what artist is really planning to do in future.... not about what journalist (and maybe also as fan) thinks that artist should do... This type of fake nostalgia is intrusive when you have your own clear plans - which Purple obviously have as they are in recording studio right now. It´s their main focus, not RRHOF. From their point - RRHOF must NOT overshadow new album. RRHOF actually can be used as "support" for new album, but RRHOF must NOT be main event of the year (and that ceremony), new album must be event of the year for DP.

You still don't get it ptr Deep Purple ARE a NOSTALGIA BAND.and have been since the reunion. The living breathing Deep Purple as you and Gillan like to call them are nothing more than a tribute act.I reckon you and Gillan are dreading the prospect of Blackers turning up and playing with DC,Glenn, and Paicey in case it sparks a MK3 type reunion as this despite also being a nostalgia act would eclipse the current band.
