Re: Whitesnake to headline Ramblin' Man Fair
I like that David is mending fences. With all of the musicians we've lost just in these past 3 months, not to mention all the ones we've lost starting with Jon back in '12, life is too short to carry baggage.

Re: Whitesnake to headline Ramblin' Man Fair
Whatever grudge Moody has with Coverdale extends back over 30 years. Yes, DC was a bit of a arse back then ... but I can guarantee you that Moody wasn't treated any worse than Bernie was or even Neil Murray. I think it's long since time for Micky to bury the hatchet.
Life is too short.

Re: Whitesnake to headline Ramblin' Man Fair
I'm not on Twitter but if DC has reconnected with Neil Murray, then that's great news. Neil was a great 'servant' to DC and always has been a fabulous bass player. Neil and Paicey were a formidable rhythm section between 1979-81- particularly live. DC has (rightly) praised Neil's wonderful playing in the liner notes to some of the remastered albums but I remember reading that Neil hadn't talked to DC since being 'let go' just prior to 1987 being released. I'd love to see him guest at a WS show like Berie has done.

Re: Whitesnake to headline Ramblin' Man Fair
I spoke to Neil a while back about the prospect of guesting at a show or two but said he had no invite from DC. He did say that Bernie suggested he just turn up at a show, wisely he declined.

I agree. A great shame that Marsden, Moody and Murray couldn't turn up for a 20 minute classic Whitesnake section, keeping all sections of the audience happy!!!!

Have to say after Birmingham last week I'm a little apprehensive, but there's at least 10 bands I like across the 2 days so even if DC is not great (and he hasn't been for a while) there was enough to tempt me.
