Re: Czech dates - 27th & 28th October 2015
That rock magazine review makes me sad, but I believe it accurately reflects what 95% of rock fans would feel. Those of us who want a varied set list are a very small minority.
And so of course Deep Purple will always go back to playing what pleases the most people. Any band that didn't make their audience happy wouldn't survive.

Re: Czech dates - 27th & 28th October 2015
It's exactly what I noticed years ago when I went to my last DP concert. Most people just want to hear the mark II songs, the classics.
If they wanted to change that they should have kept playing SILS, ROTD and TTM during their concerts. Than maybe those songs could have become fan favourites also.
That Vincent Price video was so sad.
A terrible guitarsolo, musicians glued on stage for the most time and Gillan moving at the end as Boris Karloff.
Don't expect to visit another DP show. Have seen many, but enough is enough.

That Vincent Price was rough - it seemed to me that there was some serious sound problem during that song, Roger also had some issues with his wireless - that´s why he played the final part of set with cable plugged into his basses (Vigiers or Rick for SOTW).
